The spirit of good seamanship and humanitarian assistance lives on.While on a voyage from Ain Sukhna to Detroit at the end of July 2004, the crew of our MV 'Atlantic Pendant' provided crucial humanitarian assistance to 58 peeople (including 5 women, one of them pregnant) found in a rubber boat drifting near the Gibraltar Strait.

The crew were able to provide assistance until a Spanish Search and Rescue Coordination Centre took over the assistance operation. Below is a fax message to thank our crew for their prompt action.
