CHRISTENING OF HCY-58 & HCY-59

25 Jan 2010 - by Intership Navigation

Wednesday, 6th of January saw the christening of SEABOARD PACIFIC and SEABOARD CHILE, the third and fourth vessels in a serie of six 25000 dwt MPC's.

The weather wasn't working in our favour with snowstorms and delays at the Chinese airports, but on the day it cleared up and although cold and snowy the ceremonies were a complete success!

The godmother of hull HCY-58, Mrs. Diane Gonzales, cut the rope, the champagne bottle broke and Seaboard Pacific had hereby been officially named. Mrs. Gonzales is the wife of Mr. Eddie Gonzales, President of Seaboard Marine who are the charterers of both these vessels.

Seaboard Chile (hull HCY-59) gracefully accepted her name from her proud godmother Mrs. Laura Laue. Mr. Hans Laue is the broker in charge of putting the chartering of the vessels to Seaboard Marine in place. After the bottle had been broken everybody congratulated each other upon another successful event!

Please see below some of the pictures from the ceremonies.
