On Sunday 2nd November, after a couple of months of preparation and hard work, the social committee and volunteers of Intership Navigation gathered at the offices to prepare the grounds for a charity fete. But the weather had other plans…non-stop rain!
With the kind permission of the management, Intership opened its doors and the fete moved indoors into the cafeteria. Most of the planned activities could be held indoors and the children enjoyed some face painting, games, crafts and a magic show as well as special appearances by well-known TV and sports celebrities. Even the Mayor of Limassol stopped by for a visit.
Despite the rain, hundreds of people showed up in support of our cause. All proceeds from the fete will be donated to The Alma Foundation, a centre for the early intervention of premature babies and young children with the mental and physical developmental impediments.
When the weather finally cleared up, the children could enjoy the bouncing castle, carousel and trampolines too. It was a day enjoyed by all and most importantly, a success for the cause!
